Three For Three On Does From The Same Tree

I live in Colorado (CO) and over the years I have harvested several nice mule deer bucks, all with a rifle. I started bow hunting in 2009 and have primarily hunted in western Nebraska (NE) for whitetails. I like NE, it is a very hunter friendly state and I appreciate how easy it is for a non resident to obtain a tag and go hunting.
Ohio Hunter Smokes His First Bow Kill

4:30 a.m. came early September 26 as I woke up to head out into the stand for the second day of Ohio’s archery season. I chugged about half a pot of coffee and gathered my gear together to head out.
When my dad and I arrived at the woods, we decided I was going to hunt a ladder stand that was set up in the early summer that was positioned between a corn field and a bedding area. He was going off to hunt a different part of the property, so both of us had a good chance at seeing some deer.

2009-2010 was an awful winter for the midwest. Snow blanketed the ground for many days and I became antsy for the outdoors. I’m not much for the winters in Iowa but I found a love that season that allowed me to forget the snow that covered the ground.
I had decided to take a ride around Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs, Iowa for a scenic ride to view deer. It’s often a past time for area residents, to drive around “the lake” to see the deer feed and play like children. That one particular winter day, I was blessed at what I had discovered. With my cell phone camera I took pictures of a couple deer and became amazed at what I discovered.
